The corona virus variant that caused the devastating second wave of Govt-19 in India is the most contagious ever to emerge.
Doctors in India have linked the so-called delta variant with hearing impairment, severe stomach problems and blood clots leading to hernia, and symptoms not commonly seen in Kovit patients. In the UK and Scotland, the first variant states that this variant has a higher risk of being admitted to hospital.
The delta variant has spread to more than 60 countries in the last six months. The increase in epidemics has forced the UK to reconsider its rehabilitation plans. Singapore found that 95% of local govt samples were associated with mutations of concern.
A new enemy
Beta and gamma strains found in South Africa and Brazil, respectively, showed no abnormal clinical signs Study Conducted by researchers at the University of New South Wales.
With this new variant, some patients develop microthrombi or small blood clots that become more severe and the affected tissues develop into hernias, leading to disability.
The rise of lawsuits may have led to an increase in the frequency of rare complications related to Govt. Tumors form in the blood vessels that supply the intestines, causing abdominal pain in patients, which doctors have found to be their only symptom.
Some govt patients also see deafness, swelling in the neck and severe tonsillitis.
Cases of mycosis, an opportunistic infection of people immunocompromised by a fungus, have also increased in India. As of May 22, it had infected more than 8,800 patients with Govt.
India has reported 18.6 million Govt cases so far in 2021, up from 10.3 million last year.
