The British government on Sunday announced additional measures to combat the spread of the Omicron variant, including extending the vaccine booster campaign to people over 30 from Monday.
From Tuesday, fully vaccinated contact cases for those who are positive for Govt-19 will be asked to undergo antigenic testing daily for seven days, while those who are not vaccinated will be isolated for ten days, the health ministry said.
