A 13-year-old German woman who was abducted by a man has been found in France

A German teenager who was abducted by German authorities and detained for several days was found during a search in Barcarès (Pyrénées-Orientales) on May 27, we learned from Gendermary on Wednesday.

The victim was a 13-year-old boy who was abducted on May 23 by a 22-year-old man, a German Pyrénées-Orientales gendarmerie.

The two men were spotted by genders during a routine check-in at a garage in the department’s seaside resort of Barcaras.

In the young man’s vehicle, the military found a fake handgun, handcuffs and equipment used to abduct the young woman, and arrested him. The location of the abduction was not specified by investigators, who said the two Germans were “in traffic” in the south of France.

We learn from the same source that the young German, who was subject to a European arrest warrant by his country’s authorities before being deported to Germany, was later submitted to the public prosecutor’s office in Montpellier.

The teenager was placed at the Department of Childhood and Adolescence (IDEA) in Perpignan, waiting for her family to come and pick her up.
