New Activities, New Reports and Highlights: An update on the latest developments in the Govt-19 epidemic worldwide.
Investigation in Japan on polluted Moderna blocks
Japan is investigating the deaths of two men, aged 30 and 38, who received moderna corona virus vaccines from blocks, whose use has been halted due to its pollution, the health ministry said on Saturday.
The ministry said the two men who developed the flu after being vaccinated had no underlying health problems or a history of allergies.
India vaccinates ten million people in a single day
India, the world’s second most populous country with a population of 1.3 billion, vaccinated ten million people against Kovit-19 in a single day, a record number, the Asian company officials announced on Saturday. Trying to cope with a new wave of epidemics was announced.
The Indian government, fueled by criticism after the catastrophic outbreak of the epidemic that killed more than 200,000 people in April and May, hopes to vaccinate 1.1 billion people by the end of 2021, which has been thwarted by shortages and administrative shortcomings.
Since being vaccinated in January, only 15% of the population has received both doses of the vaccine.
The delta variant adds more hospitalization
A British study released on Saturday concludes that people with delta variability are twice as likely to be hospitalized for Covit-19 than those with the alpha variant.
It is already known that the delta variant, first identified in India, spreads by about 40% to 60% over the alpha type, which appeared in the UK by the end of 2020. But according to the study, the risk is multiplied by 2.26 with the delta type compared to the hospital-admitted alpha type and the patients involved are younger.
Its authors consider that the population should receive two doses of the vaccine as soon as possible.
Polynesia: More and more hospitalized patients
The number of patients admitted to the hospital for Govit-19 continues to rise, reaching 412 in French Polynesia, including 55 in the intensive care unit, the local health ministry told Pope. As of Friday, the epidemic had caused 385 deaths, including 15 in the previous 24 hours.
The peak of violent epidemics can be explained by the introduction of the delta variant in unvaccinated people suffering from many infections such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
Anti-health pass demonstrations in France
About 160,000 people, including 14,500 in Paris, protested against the health pass in France on Saturday for the seventh week in a row, according to Interior Ministry figures.
The militant group Le Nombre Jaune, which publishes city-wise figures, has identified at least 319,290 protesters in France against 357,100 over the previous weekend.
More than 4.48 million people have died
Since the end of December 2019, the Govt-19 epidemic has killed more than 4,486,000 people worldwide, according to a report established by AFP on Saturday from official sources.
The United States has the highest death toll at 637,237, followed by Brazil (579,010), India (437,370), Mexico (257,150) and Peru (198,115).
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the number of deaths directly and indirectly linked to Govt-19 may be two to three times higher than statistics.
