S.British data show that three “classic” signs of delta variation were not seen in those affected by Omigran.
Runny nose, headache, fatigue, sneezing and sore throat: these are the first five symptoms diagnosed after an Omigran variant infection. This emerges from the application data Joe, British organization that analyzes the spread of corona virus in the country.
Researchers have thus studied the most recent data from the London area. Half of those who reported cold symptoms had a positive PCR test, with the delta variant dominating the UK. But only half of them gave the three classic symptoms of delta variation: fever, cough, loss of smell or taste.
A new symptom emerges: decreased appetite.
“We’ve seen this in South Africa too, and the loss of smell and taste is very low, especially with the Omigran variant, especially when fatigue is very common,” Mark von Ronst told Newsplat.
The British team of experts needed to inform the public about these changes in symptoms. “Sudden severe cough, fever and loss of smell and taste are still the main symptoms of corona virus, so official websites are a sign of testing and isolation,” says Professor Tim Spector in the Guardian’s column. ” It starts with sore throat and headache. Communication is urgently needed to save lives. “
