Former Trump spokesman speaks of uprisings in Washington: ‘He held secret meetings before the Capitol attack’

Reaffirming what she had already told the Commission of Inquiry into the January 6, 2021 hurricane attack, Ms Grisham said on Friday that “meetings took place in the White House, in the President’s residence.”

Stephen Grisham continued, “I do not know what was discussed there,” although he said he believed the then chief executive, Mark Meadows, was in addition to Trump’s legal advisers.

“Trump often held meetings in residential areas because he feared there would be a ‘leak’ elsewhere in the White House,” he added, referring to “the very small circle that attended these meetings.” According to Ms Grisham, “Mr. Trump’s wife, Melania, also attended these meetings frequently. He may have known what was going on there.”

A former spokesman thinks the White House documents contain additional details of the meetings. Trump lost in the Supreme Court in a controversy over the release of documents.

Commenting on Trump’s daughter Ivanka, Grisham said, “I can say that Ivanka has often been a rational voice. The Board of Inquiry wants to interview him as a witness and hopes to get information about events and conversations at the White House.

Grisham served as the former president’s wife’s spokeswoman from 2017 to 2019, serving as White House press secretary and director of communications for about nine months. He later became Melania Trump’s spokeswoman and chief executive for a while. He recently published a book about his time at the White House.
