The delta (formerly Indian) variant is twice as contagious as other strains of Govit-19. As La Voix to Nord writes, experts warn of the symptoms that can easily be mistaken for bad cold.
Previously, cough, fever and loss of smell were the main symptoms. With delta, some headaches, sore throats, runny nose, etc., but symptoms such as muscle aches or diarrhea have appeared, and they are considered major disorders.
They were found as part of a “Zo Kovit” study based on the use of the same name. This non-profit initiative was launched at the end of March 2020 to support scientific research on Govit-19. It is considered to be the largest study to date in Covit-19 and the data is being studied by King’s College London.
Mainly headache
According to the results, the first symptom of the delta variant is a headache, followed by sore throat, runny nose and fever. Cough is believed to be the fifth most common symptom of infection. On the other hand, loss of smell most often does not appear in the first 10 places of symptoms.
