They have been on the move since November 4.
For 12 days, hundreds of goats roam around strangely.
Surveillance cameras at a farm in northern China show a large herd marching continuously clockwise in a perfect circle.
A video of the bizarre sight was posted on Twitter by China’s state-run People’s Daily on Wednesday, which said the sheep appeared to be in perfect health and the reason for the behavior remained a mystery.
The sheep owner said the program started with a few sheep before joining the entire flock.
If the farm had 34 sheepfolds, only 13ᵉ goats from one of them behaved this way.
Some have speculated that the sheep’s behavior may be caused by a bacterial disease called listeriosis, also known as “round disease.”
“At first, affected animals are anorexic, depressed, and disoriented. According to some studies, they may go around corners, lean against stationary objects, or spin in circles.
A hypothesis that does not really explain this strange phenomenon, because in sheep, death usually occurs within 24 to 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.
