The tragedy that befalls five-year-old boy Ryan, who has been trapped in a deep well for more than 48 hours, keeps the kingdom in suspense and everyone expects a happy ending soon.
Relief efforts on the ground around the well intensified in the evening, the AFP noted. A team of terrain experts has been mobilized and the diggers have reached a depth of more than 24 meters – more than 30 meters, and by the end of the afternoon, the road continues to be cleared, AFP told local officials.
A boy named Ryan accidentally fell into a 32-meter-deep dry well on Tuesday, narrow and hard to access, near a family home dug in a village not far from the Bab Berred area of Chefchaouen (northern) province. Morocco).
“I blinked all night and couldn’t sleep”
“For a moment carelessly, the boy fell into the well I was repairing. I did not sleep a blink of an eye all night, ”Ryan’s father testified to the Le360 news site.
The relief “enabled Ryan to receive water and oxygen through pipes,” the MAP news agency reported.
“The recovery of the child is approaching (…). Our hearts are with the family and we pray to God that he finds his loved ones soon,” government spokesman Mustafa Baidas said after the weekly government council.
The rescue team, which had been mobilizing for more than 48 hours, was unable to descend directly into the well because “its diameter was not more than 45 centimeters,” Abdelhabi Temrani, head of the rescue operation, said on public television.
A spokesman for the administration explained that the rescuers also wanted to “expand the diameter of the well, but it was not possible due to the nature of the earth leading to the landslide”.
The only solution: to dig around the well to save the surviving child of immense sympathy and solidarity on social networks, even to neighboring and rival Algeria.
