During Vladimir Solovyov’s talk show on Russia-1, the Russian state channel, Margarita Simonyan, head of another state television channel, expressed the fears of some Russian leaders.
He also mentioned Russian bombings in Ukraine. “They (editor’s note: speaking of Ukrainians) are preparing to take our Crimea. So we do the only thing we can do in this situation: bomb them. We bomb their infrastructure. Now an infrastructure that helps us fight and kill our people in our areas. Russia doesn’t bomb for fun. God knows we don’t want that. Nobody wants that. I know our government doesn’t want that.she says.
Subsequently, the television boss revealed that some in the Russian high-ranking authorities feared that Russia would lose the war and that they would be tried for war crimes at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
She didn’t like those words. “Unfortunately, I know many people who think so. Including those at higher levels. They are afraid of what people might think there and dare not say things clearly (Editor’s note: at the International Criminal Court in The Hague). I spat out what they were thinking there. Those who fear the hack must fear losing the war, being humiliated and betraying their people. If we lose, Hack will go after a sweeper sweeping the cobblestones behind the Kremlin. It will be a disaster for our country. It is not an option. We must not lose the war” she commented.
Before concluding with a threat: “If we lose there will be no more court in The Hague. There will be nothing left. The world will be ashes”.
