Law enforcement sources said a 14-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times by her younger brother at their home in Queens on Saturday night.
New York police confirmed that the teenager suffered “multiple wounds on his body” around 7 p.m. at 111th Avenue and 156th Street in Jamaica.
She was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
The sources said that the younger brother was arrested at home.
It is not yet clear how old he is, nor is it clear what charges, if any, he will face.
The troubled family moved to the southern borough of Queens a few years ago, a neighbor told The Post.
The neighbor, who did not give her name, said the family kept to themselves but seemed to be getting along.
Of the children, she said, “Every now and then you might see them laughing and playing.”
“I think it’s awful. I was praying for the family. I was saying I hope everyone is okay out there.”
