“I have pollution figures for the last 24 hours in our country (…) We polluted 18,000 in more than 24 hours yesterday,” he assured the minister during a question-and-answer session with the government on legislative nationalism.

“This means an increase of about 150% in the circulation of the virus in a week: we have never experienced this, not with Kovit (historical strain of the virus, editor’s note) or English variant, with South Africa or Brazilians,” he continued.
No such positive events have been seen since mid-May.
“Warning confirmation” of the number of new cases in the Netherlands
The National Institute of Public Health and Environment (RIVM) announced on Tuesday that the number of new Covit-19 cases in the Netherlands has increased by 34% in the past week. This increase is significantly smaller compared to the previous week. The reproduction rate dropped to 1.75.
“In recent days, there has been alarming confirmation of the number of positive test takers. It remains to be seen whether this confirmation will decrease in the coming week,” the RIVM estimates. On Tuesday, 6,823 positive Govt tests were recorded in the Netherlands, compared to 8,903 on Monday. The RIVM reports that the reproductive rate has dropped to 1.75, indicating how fast the corona virus is spreading.
Last weekend, that rate was 2.91, the highest level ever. That figure indicated that the virus was spreading at an unprecedented rate. RIVM also reported that the number of new Govt-19 patients admitted to the hospital had risen to 205 last week. That was 120 more than a week ago. Thirty-one new Govt patients have been admitted to the intensive care units, 19 more than the previous week.
