- Meta has announced a significant drop in the price of its high-end Quest Pro virtual reality headset.
- The Quest Pro and Quest 2 will see price cuts in the coming days, dropping by $500 for the Quest Pro and $70 for the Quest 2.

Meta announced Friday that Meta will lower prices for its high-end Quest 2 and Quest Pro headphones.
The price of the Meta Quest 2 will drop from $499.99 to $429.99, while the price of the higher-end Meta Quest Pro will drop to $999.99 from $1499.99.
Meta lost $13.7 billion in the Reality Labs segment in 2022. This is the business unit responsible for building the company’s ambitious metaverse technologies. Reality Labs made $727M last quarter, revenue of $2.16B for full year 2022 – Down from $2.27 billion in 2021 – including sales of Quest headphones.
The Meta Quest Pro 2 was announced in November, but its high price tag put it out of reach for most consumers. And there It doesn’t seem like A clear professional use case, too. A lower price could make it more attractive to both audiences.
“Our goal has always been to create affordable hardware for as many people as possible to take advantage of all that VR has to offer,” the company said in a statement. Pricing changes will begin rolling out on March 5th for Meta Quest 2.
US and Canadian buyers will also see the Quest Pro’s new pricing on March 5th. It will drop in price for the rest of the world on March 15th.
