DSecret documents were found at the home of former Republican Vice President Mike Pence, a Republican-elected official who is overseeing a congressional investigation that opened after similar files were found at the home of President Joe Biden.
“Former Vice President Mike Pence informed us today that classified documents were discovered at his Indiana home. He agrees to cooperate fully with our investigation,” James Comer, chairman of the House Executive Oversight Committee, said in a statement.
Mike Pence was Donald Trump’s Vice President from 2017 to 2021.
A dozen documents were reportedly discovered by Mike Pence’s attorney, who later reported the discovery to the National Archives. The FBI and Justice Department have launched an investigation into how the documents ended up in Pence’s private home. According to sources, the former vice president’s lawyer went through several boxes of documents for secret copies. We don’t know what’s in the documents.
