Vladimir Putin is confident that the objectives of the “special operation” in Ukraine will be achieved. “There is no doubt about it,” he said on Tuesday during a tour of the space base Vostochny Cosmodrome in eastern Russia.
President Putin has made it clear that he is still determined to end the invasion of Ukraine. The move helped keep Russia safe, he said. “We have no choice. ⁇
A confrontation with “anti-Russian forces in Ukraine” is only a matter of time, he added. But many Western experts have questioned the claim, accusing Putin of using the security of the Russian people in Ukraine as a pretext for war.
He then praised the Russian soldiers in Ukraine. “They show courage and act in the right, professional and efficient way,” he said.
Finally, the Russian president stressed that Western sanctions would not isolate Russia from the rest of the world. He told Cosmotrom staff that Moscow will continue to improve its technical and technological capabilities, including space.
Putin visited the Vostochny space base on Tuesday with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
