In 1971, Alta and Jeffrey Highsmith, an American couple living in Forth Worth, Texas, lost their daughter, Melissa. She was only 22 months old when she was abducted by her babysitter. After 51 years, the parents found their daughter through a DNA test.
The experiment connected Melissa’s children to the Highsmith family. His parents then contacted him through Facebook. Melissa thought it was a scam at first, then she interviewed the woman who raised her and found out. When she realized that she had found her family, as shown in the video of the American channel CBS, the emotion was at the peak of the event.
A miracle of thanksgiving
The truth came out on Thanksgiving. Melissa first meets her brother Jeff, her parents, and her little sister Victoria before discovering what she never knew. “I’m grateful to have her with us.“, trusts Victoria for CBS channel.”Welcome back to the family, Sissy. Welcome to the family“.
All family members, including Melissa’s children, can now spend the holidays together. Note that no information has been released about the kidnapper who posed as Melissa’s mother all these years.
